Fast, modern and ecological…

Tram to Tarchomin will provide the residents of this district and also residents of Nowodworów and other areas of Białołęka with an easy and comfortable access to the transport node of Młociny where they will be able to get on the underground train and continue their journey to the city center.

The trams will not be stuck in traffic jams so the whole journey will last only several minutes. Passengers will spend the time in a spacious, air-conditioned interior of modern Swings which will operate on that route. An additional improvement will be a specially designed traffic lights system giving the trams priority on crossroads.

Everyone will be able to check punctuality of transport thanks to the Passenger Information System available on the stops and in the vehicles. Using cars will become uneconomic as far as time and money is concerned.

The service to Tarchomin will make it possible to integrate different forms of public transport. It will be synchronized with the transport system of the city – not only with the underground but also with bus connections and the rest of tram routes. Thanks to this solution, access to any part of the city or urban agglomeration will be ensured. Possibilities of convenient changes will be presented by the Passenger Information System.

According to an estimation, the number of passengers using the tram route to Tarchomin will systematically increase. In the study of feasibility of the project it was predicted that in 2011 during the morning peak, trams will be transporting even 8,000 people. In 2021 the number is to grow to 10,000 and in 2031 to 13,800 passengers.

By changing for ecological rail transport, residents of Białołęka will take care of their surroundings and health. Smaller exhaust fumes emission will contribute to the improvement not only of the climate of the district but also of the well-being of the city.

The venture will significantly influence the improvement of safety on streets of the district. According to Environment Protection Department the benefits will become visible for students of primary school no.154  surrounded with a network of convenient pavements and bicycle paths.

Tram trackage built with the use of advanced technologies and materials in connection with new rolling stock will provide low noise emission level. Tram route crossing the districts will be an enormous convenience increasing prestige and investment attractiveness of areas along the route.
